Following September 11th, our national leaders came together at a time of crisis. We must show that kind of patriotism now. Americans across our country lament the fact that partisan divisions in Washington have prevented us from addressing our national challenges. Now is our chance to come together to prove that Washington is once again capable of leading this country.
A not-so-subtle attempt to try and bottle some of his presumed national security gravitas to sprinkle on his woefully lacking economic chops, no?

If only we could shed partisanship at this crucial time, just as we did in the aftermath of 9/11. Truly, the disastrous economy, like the tragedy of 9/11, is something that we must all, like the courageous John McCain, refuse to politicize.
