- Former Rep. Richard Gephardt (D-Mo.)
- Andrew Stern, president of the Service Employees International Union
- Kay Hagan of North Carolina
- Jeanne Shaheen, former New Hampshire governor
As of right now, I see one and only one politically acceptable name for this post. Et tu?

Gephardt? I don't know enough about Shaheen or Hagan.
As for Stern, I think I'd like him better as Secretary of Labor.
Hagan must be a holdover as a contingency if she lost. Why would she give up a newly won Senate seat to run a backwater department like Labor?
I'd like Stern better at Labor, but only because it might make SEIU better.
I have no problems with Gephardt. Should I?
Gephardt is who I had in mind.
